With Medicaid cuts, docs and patients drop out
Tue Mar 16, 2010
People on Medicaid should not be allowed to have kids. If the taxpayers have to pay for the birth the parents are responsible for, what else are we going to have to pay for? The kids housing? Food? If you cannot feed them, don't breed them. Keep your legs together and stay out of my wallet.
Report: U.S.'s top credit rating may be at risk

Isn't Moody one of the rating companies that said bundles of junk mortgages were "investment grade"? Huge investmants in those junk mortgages are what caused the crash. I don't see where these bozos at Moodys are qualified to rate anything.
Snow days mean less food for many students
Sat Feb 13, 2010
19.4 million students, x 5 days per week, x 38 weeks, x $3.00 per meal = $11 BILLION per year for this government giveaway. That is on top of $130 BILLION per year for the food stamp giveaway and $6.4 BILLION for the WIC giveaway. Talk about Corporations!

"Who Moved My Cheese?" by Spencer Johnson should be included in the recommended reading list. It is about change and how to deal with it. With the massive changes going on th the world today, this is a good and worth while read. Not very long either.
From Haiti's ruins, a chance to rebuild a nation
Sun Jan 17, 2010
I want our government to do all we can to help with the near term issues caused by the earthquake in Haiti. I DO NOT want my hard earned tax dollars being spent on long-term infrastructure or social issues in Haiti. We have enough infrastructure issues in the US to be dealt with.
Is it better to call poor children “at hope” rather than “at risk”?
Tue Jan 12, 2010
"At Risk" and "In Need" are the magic words to get government freebies. If they change the words can I keep some of my hard earned money?
Young, Latina and already a mom
Fri Dec 11, 2009
The author of this article did a disservice to their readers. As a reader I want to know how much of my money has been spent on this scum. How much in subsidized rent, food stamps, free school lunches, free counseling, Medicaid and everything else I am being taxed to pay for.
